Student Apprenticeship Program The Student Apprenticeship Program was created to develop Young talent to aid in the Restoration of Sandbar Mitchell.
We teach students with a hands-on Learning approach in the aviation Manufacturing and engineering sectors By working on actual vintage aircraft.
Students work side-by-side in a Mentorship-style working environment Learning manufacturing trade skills Including machining, fabrication, CAD/ CAM, and toolmaking by working on aircraft sub-assemblies and structures. They are guided by FAA Certified A&P mechanics learning aviation maintenance, aerospace, and reverse engineering through disassembly and recreation of unusable or unavailable parts needed to restore Sandbar Mitchell
Apprenticeship students have greatly Benefitted from the skills learned here and Have gone on to receive higher education In aerospace engineering, A&P mechanics, Aviation business, aviation manufacturing Trades, flight science and the U.S. military.
